Passport Fragrances was born from a deep love of travel—and the way scent holds memory like nothing else can.
For me, the world has always been pure magic. The rhythm of a city, the taste of its food, the colors and textures of its streets, the way people gather in community—it’s all part of a living story. Travel is my favorite form of awe, and fragrance is how I capture it.
When I began traveling with my husband after graduate school, I started a ritual: buying a fragrance before every trip to carry me into the journey, and another if something along the way demanded to be remembered. One spritz back home and suddenly I was transported—back to a rain-soaked day at Chichén Itzá, laughing with friends in Tulum over a Jamaica Margarita.
Scent has always been my anchor. Even as far back as preschool, I can still recall the smell of apricots—and how it imprinted on me so deeply that I’ve never been able to love apricot jam since. That’s the alchemy of fragrance: it stamps itself onto us, binding memory to molecule.
My passions—literature, psychology, travel, and culture—all converge here. I studied English at the University of Memphis because I believe writers are magicians, creating entire worlds out of nothing but thought. Later, I pursued Mental Health Counseling, drawn to the mysteries of why we do what we do, how childhood shapes us, how trauma and memory leave their marks. Scent, to me, is where story and psychology meet—the invisible current that reveals who we are, where we’ve been, and how we long to belong.
And travel has given me my deepest moments of wonder. Spain, where I fell in love with flamenco—the memory of a dancer’s stomps at the Brooks Museum in Memphis still echo in me, more than twenty-five years later. Mexico, with its colors, its history, its soul that always pulls me back. Nazca, whose mysteries have captivated me in ways words can barely hold. These places and countless others live inside me, stitched into memory through the scents I carried home.
Passport Fragrances is the expression of it all: my awe of the world, my love of story, my devotion to the way scent makes memory eternal. Each fragrance is a passport, a keepsake, a reminder that the world is vast, alive, and endlessly full of beauty.
This is my way of bottling magic—so that you, too, can travel by memory, by imagination, by fragrance.
